Alexander Retrov (or Trevor Alexander) uses a mix of paranormal crap and pseudoscience to predict earthquakes based on 'vibrational harmonics' (wut). Explanation is in the link. He's made many predictions based on these and shoehorned events into his predictions - again, this is all in the linked page. Based on Comet Elenin, and his channeled 'source', he predicted massive earthquakes in the Pacific Rim this Monday, September 26 (take note that prior to that date, Elenin broke up and basically disintegrated). Needless to say, it didn't happen. Well, now this fellow is blaming his victims for believing him, and threatening a defamation lawsuit to anyone who publicly complains about him. And of course moving on to the next doomsday, which will be 'sometime in the next 6 weeks'.

Yeah that's exactly what someone who goes out and claims to predict something should do: tell the people it's their fault. I would think that this guy would know that once you say you predicted something a good majority of people aren't even going to research it but blindly follow. Same thing happened with that doomsayer back in May and other conspiracy theorists.

I just want to know why so many people get so excited about predicting doomsday. It's bizarre.

I honestly don't know. I guess it's because they feel like they know when the end is coming. Or it could be because of religion like in the Bible how the book of Revelations is all about the end and how it's coming which they see as giving it more validity.

A lot of people simply don't like the current state of world affairs. Expecting doomsday will occur brings some degree of emotional comfort to some of them.

His 'next 6 weeks' nonsense is now in the predictions database.
