![]() Level: 0 | "Sorry to be so blunt about this but someone really needs to tell you to quit being easily led by foolishness and trickery" I don't mind, and trust me I wish I could just not fall for these stories so quickly. I unfortunately, just tend to believe pretty much anything I'm told if it's convincing/frightening enough. a claim such as: "we told the board to call us if you are real, then 2 seconds later we heard the phone ringing and answered it...we later asked the board if that was him calling and it responded with yes" or: ""this was told to me by my friends mom: When she was a kid, she got an ouija board. She got bored of it and threw it in the garbage one day. The day after she threw it away, it was back in her closet. She got scared and placed it in the garbage pale which is collected by the garbagemen and watched the bin be emptied into the truck, the next day the ouija board was back in her closet. She lit it on fire and watched it burn. The next day it was back in her closet, unburnt. Her parents always denied ahving anything to do with the ouija board reappearing." no matter how false either story may be, or any part of any ouija board story may be, I fall for it, and yes someone actually did post this as part of their ouija board story. I guess what keeps me hanging is that there's not really much way to verify if someone is lying when they're talking over the Internet, and bad experiences with religion in the past. I guess I should just conclude that these stories online about the board moving on its own and anything else really weird like people claiming to see things moving on their own are just fake stories set up by either religious fundamentalists etc... who are trying to scare people into believing what they believe, or delusional people who suffer from some sort of mental illness or disability that screws with their perception of reality, or simply just people trolling for the fun of it. Right? The stuff you hear about when you're a kid really is some of the hardest to shake off :/

![]() Level: 0 | Do you think there may be an explanation for the board moving by itself and other crazy claims like that such as what i mentioned above? Whether it be a scientific explanation or an explanation showing how it's simply a delusion of these people's minds?

![]() Brainwashing you for money Level: 15 CS Original | Quote from Newbie You should watch a few magicians on stage and ask yourself if you think that is real magic . @Evil Elvis: I thought the same about the trolling too. Comes across that way, but I am just giving benefit of the doubt as there are a lot of clueless people in the world.

![]() Level: 1 CS Original | It is not inconceivable that using the Ouija board could be a perfectly valid spiritual, perhaps even religious, practice. The question is whether the practice ennobles a person's spirit/character/behavior or not. Shakespeare wrote in the Merchant of Venice that the devil can cite the scripture for his own purpose -- I guess, that holds true for the nobles holy book as well as whatever "scripture" is written via planchette.
